This afternoon was spent with most of my class coloring and talking "4 the most part".. . they work on pictures of MLK, so in my own way I joined in on the "FUN" with my own picture! :D
With Heath Ledger winning posthumously the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor last evening, our friend, artist Dave White, just released a special edition of 50 screen prints based on his Heath Ledger tribute portrait of Why So Sad?. Each print features some 20 + color screens, all on Somerset Tub 410gm Matt Paper with White’s signature and individually numbered. The prints were produced in conjunction with Coriander Studio, a premiere printer known for its world class print process and frequently used by the Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and more…
The first 15 prints feature a heavy impasto that is hand finished. This give the prints White’s signature texture found on White’s original oil on canvas. Added to each is also a Joker Card. The remaining 35 will feature slight hand finishing. More subtle than the former, but still produce unique features on each print. All are then executed with acrylic brush marks over the final glaze.

So after I fished up that last painting, I posted.. . I got right 2 work on the next!. Still feelin unsettled in the funk of things, it wasnt fully out of my system.. . still kinda not :/ but more so now, then then.. . I tried 2 take the one thing I felt, the most at that moment.. . feeling cold, delicate, fragile, isolated, homeless, empty, abandoned, bare, blank, gloomy, foggy, somber.. . finding the most simplistic way of visual connecting those words into a visible thought or idea, wasnt hard.. . I just had 2 subtract those words from there own imagery. & what I was left with, was.. .
Every morning or afternoon I start my day waiting 4 the train. .. in this one spot.. . where its the most comfy 4 me. .. in the same seat.. .everyday.. .."well almost everyday".. . .. :P
ARTIST. In the simplest form.. . finding ways 2 communicate creativity & with this blog i want 2 share ME, my art, my random thought's and idea's.
