Playlist(S): TOP 15 ALBUM Of 09 !

In a years (09) time I've downloaded 3046+ songs.
So this year I've been doin A LOT of listening, 2 EVERYthing
(some new, some old).. .
Sooooo with muuuuch review here goes my list as followed
;). ..

15.Lykke Li (Youth Novels)

This album was the intro 2 my 09. Lettin go of old & finding new.
I'd say the 1st album, I found myself playing on repeat ;P
I shared this with my "roomates" & it QUICKY got PLAYD out !
:/ but, its still a GRRREAT album in full.

Standout Tracks: Breaking It Up, Complaint Department & Time Flies

14.Lil Wayne (No Ceilings)

1st, Im NOT the biggest Wayne fan AT ALLLLLL .
Just didnt see what alllll the hype was 4, but with this mixtape!!
I just wanted 2 hear him spit.
NO singing, NO hooks & i got that ;)

Standout Tracks: Swag Surfin, Watch My Shoes & Single

13. Eminem (Relapse & Refill)

BACK with a vengeance. He just gets sicker.
I found myself trap in a trance (pills) with this album.
Feels like he pick up right after The Eminem Show
& Refill kills Relapse !

Standout Tracks: Medicine Ball, My Darling & Drop The Bomb On Em

12.U2 (No Line On The Horizon)

I found this album timeless in the sounds & lyrics.
its BIG in a quite way. Nothing less then epic.
Com'on there U2 4 a reason.

Standout Tracks:
Moment Of Surrender
, Breathe & Cedars Of Lebanon

11.Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction & Street Sweeper Social Club (NIN/JA 2009 Tour Sampler)

This was my soundtrack (also The Slip but that came out in 08 :/ )
into breaking away from old habits & ppl.
Mentaly DARK period, I gained "myself" back this "Air whisping of attitude" I once lost.
I WIN.

Standout Tracks: Whores, Non-Entity & Not So Pretty Now

10.The Bravery (Stir the Blood)

One of my FAV bands ever!!!
Came back 2 their glory of the 1st album, with this body of work.
They were sooooo off my radar. I didnt think they would EVER come back out.
Thought they were DONE 4, with that last album
:/ Booooooo! BUT NOT.

Standout Tracks: Hatefuck, Jack-O-Lantern Man & Red Hands And White Knuckles

9.Nipsey Hu$$le (Bullets Ain't Got No Names Vol. 3)

I was hookd from when I 1st heard Strapped.
I just knew there was something special. Had that old west coast classic feel.
But I honestly thought this mixtape was gonna be waaay different from what it is.
Its like some So Far Gone West Coast SHIT.
NO singin tho ;P

Standout Tracks: I Could Never Lose, We Gangbangin & Bucketheads

8.Drake (So Far Gone)

HOW THE BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR A MIXTAPE ?
This by far TOOK 09. & Im sooooooooooooo glad I didnt hop on the band wagon like most (smh, silly sheep) I felt like most did, he was "our" secret .
But like Lykke Li got burned OUTT & still dose by my "roommates" :/
after they got put them on.

Standout Tracks: The Calm, Uptown & Say Whats Real

7.The XX (XX)

One night i saw them on Last Call with Carson Daly & was HOOKD.
A big WOW, the impact of these songs together are special.
Its like sleepy cuddle dreamy sounds from a dream within a dream ;D

Standout Tracks: Night Time, Crystalised & Infinity

6.Air (Love2)

ITS JUST AWESOME.
In whole its a bit darker then Pocket Symphony is what I wish 2 hear from them.
& it worked out GREAT!

Standout Tracks: Do The Joy, Be A Bee & Eat My Beat

5.Mr Hudson (Straight No Chaser)

With much anticipation of & for this album, I built myself & others (roommates).
Once more playing OUT music. His 1st album with The Library, A Tale Of Two Cities
was my intro to the genius word play & story telling.
This album sounding more worldly in sounds from the last.
You can really hear the growth.
If you ever wanted 2 get over someone, A GREAT breakup album ;)

Standout Tracks: Instant Messenger, Learning To Live & Time

4. Gucci Mane (The State Vs. Radric Davis & The Movie 3-D: The Burrprint)

1st off BURR !
2nd BURR!
& 3rd BUUURRR !!
Now with that out the way, say what you will but 09 was owned by that phrase.
Like it or NOT.
Now If you would have told me I would be a Gucci Mane fan in 09, I would have slapped ya mouth, ha.. .
Yea its not the most lyrically profound stuff, at ALLLLLLL in the world
but its the ATTITUDE I dig the most, & plus the beats are always HARD .
That's what hookd me from jump. Mixtape after mixtape it started 2 sound better.
The actual album had the Greatest potential 2 SUCK.
I told my cuz if he sticks 2 mixtape format his album will be the best thing this year!
& it IS .
As a lover of music, I challenge you 2 just give it a honest listen .
Its NOT as "bad" as you think.

Standout Tracks: Gingerbread Man, Kush Is My Cologne & Watch Cost A Bently

3.
Bat For Lashes (Two Suns)

Im truly speechless.
When it comes to finding words that could possibility even "best" describe this album. I
ts the soundtrack of my dreams, my night music.
It settles my spirit, its sexy, lonely, honest, misty & timeless.
:/ JUST GET IT.

Standout Tracks: Glass, Moon And Moon & Siren Song

2.Kid Cudi (Man On The Moon: The End Of Day)

"Ill go out on a strong lim & say
CLASSIC.

4 the fact that the concept was soooo well executed.
the feel of 808's 2 the 10th power
of personal self-refection
cant be over looked at something less then.
The over all flow of the album as ALBUM, & NOT just songs put
2gether is a GRAND story. (how it should be done)

whatever you THOUGHT it was gonna sounds like.. .
its sooooooooo way oppsite, "But strangly exactly what i wanted" ~illy L"

Standout Tracks: Heart Of A Lion, Alive & CuDi Zone

1. Karen O And The Kids (Where The Wild Things Are: Soundtrack)

By afar the greatest influence in me, as a creative mind is the story of
Where The Wild Things Are .
My dreams have come 2 a reality with the film & soundtrack.
The orginal score serving as the audio film is perfect.
It tells the story with NO visual, your mind is truly taken 2 Where The Wild Things Are.

I NEED NOT SAY ANYMORE
FLAWLESS.

Standout Tracks: Capsize, Animal & Food Is Still Hot

If you havent heard of, listen to any of theses pieces of ART of the ears.
As a lover of music I beg you 2 do your self a favor & find these works!!
2010 is gonna bring some great sounds & stories.
;)
;D

Alphabet City By Scott Teplin !!!

Just had 2 keep it alllll the way ME
d33zilla (DZ)
GPPO style
;)

"Scott Teplin has created a really fun series called Alphabet City which features letters as tiny dwellings. The little spaces aren’t ordinary homes though, they’re filled with all kinds of random things mad scientist laboratories and piles of what appear to be donuts, as you can see above. Each letter is totally different and unique, so be sure to check out each one." ~Kitsune Noir
